Yangsong Village, located in Yangwu Town, Danzhai County, serves as Guizhou's only traditional Miao village that still practices the Chiyou sacrificial rituals as completely as they were. 

Paimo Village is located in the southeast of Yangwu Township, Danzhai County, 37km away from the township government building.In addition to a tribe of bird totems, the village is also renowned as the cradle of wax printing which has been long reputed “the greatest printing of the East”.

Kala Village is located in the northeast of Danzhai Town, Guizhou Province. As one of birthplaces of local Lusheng instrument, the village boasts of the most compelling folk customs and profound ethnic culture. Villagers there are versed in making delicate birdcages by hand, which also constitutes a major source of income for them. On the peak of Kala Mountain stands the world’s largest birdcage.

At Shiqiao Village, the old-fashioned papermaking technique has been handed down, intact, from the mid-Tang Dynasty to date.
